A native of Vermont, Mr. Guarnaccia has lived and studied in Spain. He began his study of the classical guitar independently with Miguel Rubio, and with Maestro Regino Sainz-de-la-Maza at the Royal Conservatory of Music of Madrid. He received his Bachelor of Music degree from North Carolina School of the Arts, Winston-Salem, where he studied the classical guitar with Maestro Jesus Silva, under the auspices of visiting master Andres Segovia. He also studied composition and classical guitar at California Institute of the Arts, Valencia, and received his Master of Fine Arts from that Institution. Mr. Guarnaccia has had much experience teaching on an individual and group basis in addition to his appearances as a recitalist.
